A huge thank you to everyone who attended the grand opening of Mairi’s Cafe today at The Lenton Centre!
Councillor Dave Trimble gave a lovely speech about the late Mairi Yuill, whom the cafe is named after and everyone raised a glass in memory of her.
Mairi’s three daughters, great granddaughter and two great great grandchildren also came along to officially open the cafe and cut the ribbon.
Our team of dedicated volunteers helped serve teas, coffees and homemade cakes, all of which tasted delicious.
Our cafe is now officially open, so please pop in on Fridays between 9:30am and 12:30pm. We are aiming to extend our opening hours in September, so watch this space for more updates.
