Youth Coordinator
The Lenton Centre | Nottingham | £13.50 per hour
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Youth Coordinator to help deliver engaging activities for young people at The Lenton Centre.
The role involves planning and running our weekly Youth Club sessions, coordinating activities and healthy meals for our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme during school holidays, and creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where young people can thrive.
You will work closely with staff, volunteers, parents, schools, and community organisations to develop programmes that support young people’s physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering fun, engaging, and inclusive activities for young people.
- Supporting the wellbeing, confidence, and development of participants.
- Coordinating healthy meals and activities for holiday programmes.
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintaining attendance records and supporting programme administration.
- Working with local schools, families, and community partners.
- Supporting and supervising volunteers and sessional staff.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience working with young people in a youth, education, or community setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience planning and delivering activities for children and young people.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- A current Safeguarding Level 3 qualification.
A youth work qualification, First Aid certification, and experience leading volunteers or teams would be advantageous.
Training is provided.
Hours: Minimum of 4 hours per week, with additional hours available, particularly during school holidays.
Location: The Lenton Centre, Willoughby Street, Nottingham, NG7 1RQ.
DBS: An enhanced DBS check is required.

Outreach and Community Support Worker
The Lenton Centre | Nottingham | £13.50 per hour
We’re looking for a friendly, proactive, and compassionate Outreach and Community Support Worker to help connect local people with the services, activities, and support available at The Lenton Centre and across Nottingham.
You’ll be out in the community building relationships, supporting individuals, working alongside local organisations, and helping to make The Lenton Centre an even more welcoming place for everyone. If you’re passionate about improving lives, reducing isolation, and strengthening communities, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building positive relationships with local residents and community groups.
- Supporting people to access local services, activities, and practical support.
- Identifying barriers that prevent people from engaging with their community.
- Planning and delivering community drop-in sessions, workshops, and events.
- Working with partner organisations including schools, healthcare providers, charities, and local agencies.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of the support provided.
- Promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and community participation.
- Helping develop new initiatives that respond to local needs.

Desirable
- Experience working in community development, outreach, health, social care, youth work, or the voluntary sector.
- Knowledge of local services, charities, and support organisations.
- Experience delivering community activities, workshops, or events.
- Understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable adults and young people.
- Experience of working with partner organisations and building community networks.
Training is provided.
Hours: Starting at 15 hours per week, with additional hours available as the role requires.
