New Improved Changing Rooms in Use!
Have you seen the new changing rooms yet. There are still a few finishing touches to complete but it all looks and feels much lighter and fresh. A lot of people put in a lot of work to get them ready. The feedback so far has been very good.
Changing Room Upgrade
The showers will be out of order from 23 July until further notice. The Lenton Centre has secured £47,859 of Olympic Legacy funding from Sport Englands Inspired Facilities Fund. Please bear with us as there will be some disruption.
New Circuits Class - Mondays
Our new Circuits class will run in the Hall on Mondays form 7pm - 7:45pm The class is suitable for all ability levels and will combine some elements of martial arts Fully qualified instructors will encourage and support you. Free for members £4 for non-members
High Intensity Training
High Intensity Training has come to the Lenton Centre. HIT has many of the benefits of much longer workous but you have to work much harder. HIT is a viable and desirable option for all ability levels who are looking to improve their overall fitness, health and athletic performance. A HIT Session can be completed in as little as four minutes. HIT Plans include regular One to One Sessions in a private room with a Personal Trainer.
Free Cycle Rides
DID YOU KNOW?......... Every Saturday at 11:30am there is a group cycle ride which starts from the Lenton Centre. Anyone aged 18 and above is welcome to join us. You don't have to be super fit..the rides are aimed especially at those who want to return to fitness, return to cycling and get to know a few other people. The rides are about 1 hour long on gentle routes, mostly off road, and are all led by trained ride leaders. Joining a ride is simple.....you don't have to book. All you have to do is turn up on the day at 11:30 am and register.We meet outside the Lenton Centre. We can even offer the free loan of a bike if you don't have one or can't bring one. And all this for no charge.
Aquarobics - Spring 2013
Our fun and popular Aquarobics sessions on Tuesdays are still running from 6:45-7:30pm - Free for Swim members £4 for non-members.... Suitable for everyone including those pregnant!
Good Vibrations to a better body....
Try our new Flabelos Machine with a vibrating plate. Gives your body a body after your workout. It is an experience!!
Help us while you Shop
We have joined a new charity fundrasing scheme that lets you help us while you shop online. You just need to register and shop as normal. It costs you the same - but we get a percentage of what you spend. See the Useful Links page for more details
Parish Nurse
The Lenton Centre is always looking to help the community. On every first and third Wednesday of each month, the Lenton Health and Wholeness Project are available for drop-in sessions here. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain health advice and information on any personal worries you may have. In addition, the project offers blood pressure and weight checks and prayer in a personal and confidential service. Make sure you drop in if you have any health queries – the project is here to help!
Oranges and Sunshine
The film ‘Oranges and Sunshine’ which features the Lenton Centre has been screened recently at the Rome Film Festival! The film is based on a true story and is due to hit screens in the UK very soon! The centre is used as a community centre in which the lead character, played by Emily Watson, is involved in. Watch this space for the official release date!
